Review Manchester United 2-1 Liverpool highlights

Liverpool were left three points at Old Trafford in a game decided by two goals from Wayne Rooney at the start of the second half. The meeting was marked from the beginning by the mismatch between Luis Suarez and Patrice Evra in the handshake protocol.

The tension between the two sets are chewed before the start and was multiplied by the no greeting between Luis Suarez and Patrice Evra, star of the controversial leg before starting the ball rolling. That gesture led to the sporting aspect in which the conservative approach of Kenny Dalglish premises allowed to roam after the teams settle in the countryside.

Near the first time did the first scoring chance with a nod of the eternal King who saved Paul Scholes on the goal. By then, Liverpool had become a shadow of the brave team we've seen in some visits to Old Trafford to become eleven men who barely managed to intimidate opponents with increases Glen Johnson down the right.

The beginning of the second part precipitated the gulf to the Reds. At the exit of a corner, Rooney scoring the first goal volley to the delight of locals, who was present when the English got a sensational pass from Valencia to score as many second just three minutes later. The passivity of the eleven Dalglish, both key points, would not change until the changes in minute 60.

The entry of Carroll and Bellamy, just after a new opportunity to Rooney gave a whole new look to Anfield, however, was unable to gain mastery of the game, played at the pace that marked the premises. In 78 and when the pale hope, a defensive error allowed the United Suarez score the goal of hope.

But even at 2-1 on the scoreboard and dying on the shore, Liverpool wanted to swim to the tie. Only three minutes off the Reds saw as unprecedented proved to David de Gea, which was showcased in a stretched to a Johnson shot and saw the line judge annulled a clear chance that Suarez sent outside the local arc.

Liverpool vs Man Utd last match review

Today, in our "Liverpool Rewinds" where we review what happened in some of the biggest games in the history of Liverpool FC, we bring you a meeting, not because it is any less recent history. A game that you certainly kept them almost all good memories. The victory of the wider Liverpool at Old Trafford for the last 34 years. And so it happened ...

Let us place ourselves in the scenario that was going to play this game. Liverpool was among one of the best seasons with Rafa Benitez on the bench. It is true that the team had tied some games in the winter phase of the Premier against teams lower in theory, actually engaging the usual naysayers to herd to Benitez, but the truth is that the season was still very positive. In the weeks before the team had been felled in the FA Cup in a replay at Goodison Park for Everton, but this removal was a mirage after a perfect tie against Real Madrid in the Champions League. In fact, the 4-0 win at Anfield over the meringue was the last game for the Reds before that I had to tell.

Liverpool was planted at the fort mancunia n with a considerable distance in the standings in the Premier League, was seven points, so that the party charged vitally important to not leave early, as usual now, the fight for the trophy league. Lose, the distance would have been insurmountable for United. The record at Old Trafford, eleven consecutive wins Manchester United in Premier and downs of Arbeloa and the master of midfield, Xabi Alonso, made one think of the worst possible outcome.

The game started following the standard pattern of the fighting precendetes enters both sides. The Manchester United monopolized most of the possession, and Liverpool crouched waiting for his chance. Mancunian domain result came the first goal and Liverpool would not. Tevez had the ball on the break of United, it got to the outside of his boot to the back of Sami Hyypia , in that space appeared the South Korean Park, which forced Reina to overthrow him. Clear penalty in favor of the "red devils" that materialized Cristiano Ronaldo, although Pepe divined his intention. The ghost reappeared, as Liverpool went without scoring a goal at Old Trafford in the three previous seasons, but Liverpool did not give up.

Just four minutes after the match to give an irreversible shift of interest group led by Rafa Benitez. Martin Skrtel got rid of the ball under pressure from the Mancunian forward, the ball came through the air to the domains of Nemanja Vidic, who understandably doubted under pressure from Torres, and "ate" dribbling. The outcome is known, Torres beat him for speed. In the shock shoulder to shoulder also was victorious, and crossed with expertise in front of Van der Sar. Tables on the scoreboard. but Vidic's nightmare did not end there.

The stroke of half the Liverpoo l turned around the score. Torre s was on a pass through to Gerrard would join the attack power, forcing Evra to overthrow him to prevent the goal of the master network. A Alan Wiley no pulse trembled, and said the penalty spot. Gerrard settled the ball, looked at college, waiting for approval, and placed the ball as possible kinked, making useless stretched Van der Sar. Gerrard was celebrating by giving a kiss to the shield and, later, to all Liverpudlians who were watching the televised clash. The rest would go to Liverpool dominated the match and the score.

The second part, the party continued with the intensity befitting a game of this nature, but not too much work for goalkeepers. Ferguson tried to change the course of meeting with a triple change, but their intentions were uprooted by a combination Lucas and Kuyt, Gerrard leaving just before Van der Sar. Vidic had to intervene with a more proper entry of rugby football, and saw the red card, thus completing an unfortunate game.

Before Vidic came to clothing, Liverpool had already put the third. Fruit of the offense committed by the Serbian central, Fabio Aurelio took a left hand placed on the left side of Van der Sar, who could only follow with his eyes the ball while it was accommodated in the back of his goal. But this would not be the last goal of the game.

Just when you meet the 90 minutes, Andrea Dossena scored the fourth goal for Liverpool, just three days after scoring against Real Madrid (his only two goals as a network). Queen wore a long ball, Babel amagaba to go fight the air balloon, which confuses the central Dossena and left alone in front of Van der Sa r. The Italian defined with a delicious jelly, while the Dutch returned to make the statue a second time. Delirium in the corner of Liverpudlians fans, and Old Trafford was emptied between long faces.

Unfortunately this historic victory did not win at the end of the season, although Liverpool won ten of the last eleven games in the Premier League since Manchester United ended up taking the trophy, but we did believe we could with them.

Review Liverpool 0-0 Tottenham Hotspurs 6 feb EPL 2012

Liverpool drew a game that deserved to win by having more presence than his opponent and try harder throughout the game and it took just one point by the lack of success and repetitive inaccuracies which abused. Jose Enrique was ground breaking and not with the return of Luis Suarez, who came off the bench in the second half after serving his penalty, the Reds were able to score a Tottenham at Anfield proved not possible candidate to win the Premier League.

As if the fog before the game wandering around Anfield had been sitting on the goal in which Liverpool had to score, as if the cat jumped onto the lawn in the first part had hexed or enchanted to ours so that today there did tick ... With that feeling ended a game that Liverpool deserved to win for the attributes shown: more ball possession, the more thrust and more number of times in front of goal than the Spurs.

At no time changed the tone of the party. Although the Tottenham presume, in theory, to have three players like Parker, Modric and Kranjcar who have control of the ball were finally Adam and especially the pairing of Gerrard and Spearing those who led the meeting by giving clear color network.

As if The Academy had taught him to play alongside his captain, 'Spero' completed a great game because of its intensity, that always lets you come before the court, and its almost total success when starting the move or give the baton to Stevie. So much so, that the best chance of the first part was born of a combination of both. Opening and pass from captain to the young squad and shot that left the range to the bottom of Brad Friedel's goal.

In defense, Liverpool also suffered. The Spurs gave up all his faith in Adebayor, who as a castaway on Desert Island was fought against Skrtel and Agger acertadísimos about. What bands do more worried Harry Redknapp's team, who could not travel to Merseyside by the storm and left the command of his assistants Kevin bench Boned and Joe Jordan.

On the left, Johnson, who acted banda changed by the low of Joseph Henry, lived a nice duel with Walker practically always out victorious defense network. On the right, Kelly held off both Bale and Assou-Ekotto to notably by promoting the Welsh ProBase more luck in the middle than the banda.

In attack the two sides were pretty good. Kelly arrived at baseline throughout the match, with more attitude than aptitude, since the band is still not his natural position. Johnson worked sometimes even driver of the ball, but it was clear reflection of what the team lacked in general, the last pass.

Carroll protested a penalty and a distant shot of Kranjcar gave way to a second part with the same script. Turned out higher than Liverpool Agger had a chance in a corner, one with Kelly shot from far and Friedel cleared a header from Carroll ... not entered.

Therefore, in the 65th minute, Luis Suarez jumped at Anfield. The Uruguayan, who had sung the Kop throughout the game, was greeted with a standing ovation and came out showing the repressed desire to have produced the eight-match ban.

In 25 minutes, the 'gunman' pressure defense held the Spurs, good understanding with Gerrard, enough sense of danger and even over-eager at the time of the shot, striking Parker in a move instead of the ball, thus costing the yellow card.

The Liverpool nor Suarez clarified. Time was running out and into the rush: the game the team went from being only direct combinative, Tottenham stood all I could play and the Reds were paid to the long ball and imprecision. Downing came more worried about the launch of the pass, and the shock in his last minutes was a Russian roulette that could have opted for either side.

The Andy Carroll had. After a cross, English manual dropped the ball and his shot, without anybody presionase, went through the roof. The Gareth Bale had. Long ball, clear of the Welsh and, quite alone, in the side by side with Queen shot the goalkeeper's body had endured well network at its output. And above all, had Suarez. Gerrard and need to focus, almost in the small area, the Uruguayan striker topped only head into the hands of Friedel.

If Liverpool had marked the justice would not have been outraged. If they do the Spurs would have been too much reward for his approach. Negative point at Anfield on a journey that leaves the distance from the fourth to four points. And even more negative for the London team, which lost the chance to deduct points to second placed Manchester United, waiting to do him a favor Liverpool facing his arch rival, for the third time this season The next day at Old Trafford.

Match.
